My Story
My name is Anne De Santis I am a Post Masters Level Counselor and a Certified Interventionist, Life, and Recovery Coach. My training, certifications, experience, and credentials span over 30 years of lived and learned experience.
I have listed all my degrees and certifications below, and you can also check me out on Psychology Today and LinkedIn for verification of my credentials.
I began this work of supporting others in my early recovery in 1991. My journey with Peer Support, guidance, and healing has led me to not only do the same but earn credentials to guide me in a more professional and ethical manner.
My journey through my childhood of growing up as a child of an alcoholic and dysfunction, and the inability to cope and deal with my own emotions, led me deep into my addiction to drugs and alcohol. The years of addiction began at the age of 13 and spanned 10 years until I found peer support, 12-step recovery, abstinence and therapy, and other support groups.
My journey in recovery has included many, many dark nights of the soul, many breakdowns, many mistakes, but also many breakthroughs and healing.
I have learned with every breakdown. If you do the work, you will have a breakthrough. My major breakthroughs have blessed me with a clear-intuitive gift that I share with my clients. It is a blessing to speak through that gift directly to their pain and shine a light on it so that it can come out from the darkness.
I use a psycho-spiritual approach to guide those I mentor through their dark night of the soul, through their breakdowns toward a breakthrough.
I know what it's like to live the pain from the inside out and how to persevere to get to the other side. I know how to speak to the darkness for others because I learned and was supported through mine.
I speak the language of unresolved grief, pain, and addiction. This enables me to hear my clients with compassion, empathy, a non-judgmental ear, and a proper understanding of their pain and what is coming for them.
BUT more importantly, I speak the language of recovery, truth-seeking, and healing.
I won't do the work for you, but I will walk alongside you and shine the light on your path.
